Oi, I am LeNora!
Hey there, I'm LeNora! I'm a 1973 VW bus, and my journey to being the star of Aloha Pixabus is a fun one. Believe it or not, I was born in Brazil, but my heart—and all my most important parts—are 100% German.
I've been on quite the adventure! My first life was a bit more rugged, helping out on a farm back in Brazil. After that, I decided to see the world. I traveled all the way to Florida, then cruised across the country to Oakland, and eventually made the big leap to Hawaii. I landed in Honolulu before finally making my way to my forever home here on Maui. It was quite the upgrade from farm life, let me tell you!
You might wonder where my name comes from. It’s actually a blend of the names of two very special little girls: Lena and Nora, the owner's granddaughters! How sweet is that? But it gets better—LeNora also has a beautiful Hawaiian meaning: ʻōnohi, which translates to the "eyeball" or the "eye," and ultimately means the beloved one, a person or thing that is highly prized. I love being a beloved bus!
Now, you might be thinking, "Hey LeNora, how do you stay so cool with all that sunshine?" Well, with my 23 windows and a classic split windshield, I'm practically an open-air vehicle. All that glass is like a built-in AC system! My job is to be the perfect photobooth and conversation hub for you and your guests, and with views this good, who needs AC anyway?
I'm all polished up and ready for my next adventure. So, come on, hop in! Let's make some priceless Maui memories together.
